After the revamp, Liang Court was revolutionised. Ms Ho, General Manager of AsiaMalls, said that the crowd had ‘more than doubled' (Tang, 2009).

 

The revamp had also attracted new tenants to Singapore, such as the Taiwanese restaurant Shin Yeh, steamboat restaurant Tanyoto and Saizeriya. This caused a surge in shopper traffic by 148% from the previous year (Tang, 2009).

 

 Initially, people were drawn to the revamped mall because of its new shops and features. However, the shops were not able to retain the crowd in the long run and Liang Court looked towards attracting newer tenants in an attempt to solve the problem.
